What is the source of my drinking water?
The source for the Valley Field water supply is two bedrock wells and a pump station.  Well # 1 is located 274 feet west of the pump house.  Well # 3 is located 605 feet northwest of the pump house.  Treatment consists of manganese green sand filtration to remove iron and manganese, aeration to remove radon, sodium hydroxide to adjust the pH, and chlorine addition to kill bacteria.
Text Box: On 3/1/10 and 3/2/10 approximately 9,000 gallons of drinking water was transferred each day from Pennichuck Water Work's Treatment Plant in Nashua to the Vallely Field storage tank. This was done because of a distribution system leak and the storage tank was running low.
