| What is the source of my drinking water? | |||||||||
| The Spruce Pond water system obtains its water from two simultaneously operating bedrock wells. Bedrock Well # 1 located 10 feet south of the pump house is 356 feet deep and yields 15 gallons per minute. Bedrock Well # 2 is located 54 feet southwest of the pump house and is 305 feet deep and yields 25 gallons per minute. Treatment consists of ion exchange for the removal of iron and manganese, polyphosphate to aid in corrosion control, and chlorine to kill bacteria. | |||||||||
