What is the source of my drinking water?
The source of the English Woods water supply is two wells and a pump house located on White Avenue off Route 114 in Bedford, NH.  Bedrock well # 1 is located 90' south of the pump house and Bedrock well # 2 is located 122' southeast of the pump house.  Treatment consists of aeration to remove radon, green sand filtration to remove iron and manganese, and sodium hydroxide to increase the pH in order to maximize the removal capacity of the green sand and help control corrosion.
